Youth Activities

The Livonia area ELCA congregations have started a combined youth group, LYTE. This is a part of the UPLIFT initiatives. Meetings are Sundays and Thursdays.

April 11-12, 2008 (8 pm – 8 am): is a special cluster lock-in for both Jr. and Sr. High students. It will be held at St. John Lutheran in Farmington.

April 13, 2008 (6 pm): Special LYTE Event!! The band Drake will be giving a concert at Emmanuel Lutheran. Free-will donations. This event is open to youth and adults from area congregations. Check out Drake at www.myspace.com/draketheband.

This is the sixteenth consecutive year for the event to b e held at Michi-Lu-Ca Conference Center and Camp in Fairview, MI. Bass Lake Festival is a Christian Music Festival for High School aged youth, which provides an “outside the box” grace-filled experience of the Christian Faith. Through great music, unique learning opportunities, and a relaxed community building atmosphere, this event shares the Gospel with youth from all backgrounds in a beautiful outdoor setting.

There are Bands and speakers. This year the keynote speaker is Rev. Stephen Marsh. The band line up will be: Special Delivery, Drake, The Black Soil Project, and the band formed in Senior High Rock and Roll Camp at Michi-Lu-Ca.

Registration deadline is May 1, 2008. The cost is $85 and includes a free T-shirt, but after May 1^st the cost goes up to $95. After July 1^st the full cost of $105 will be charged.

Vacation Bible School

Our 2008 VBS will be June 16-20.  The times are set for 6:00 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. each day.  Details are in the Christian Education page.
